(Introduced by Livingston’s in 1870.) This was the first perfectly smooth, deep red Tomato ever offered to the American people. We have endeavored to keep it up to the original high standard, and there are many gardeners and catsup-makers who today, after 50 years, would not have any other kind for a main cropper. It is an immense yielder in time of ripening, a medium early. The fruits are of large size and remain so throughout the season. Flesh is solid, of superior quality and of appetizing appearance.
