A NEW WILT-RESISTING SOFT ESPECIALLY SUITABLE FOR GROWING UNDER GLASS
An early, bright red sort of medium size, just right to pack. In shape it is about the same as Bonny Best, slightly more flat, and in quality first class. The fruits are produced in good-sized clusters, about 6 inches apart, on a vigorous- growing vine, with only an average amount of foliage. Even without the wilt-resistant quality we give it a high place.
This Tomato originated with Mr. Hansing, a prominent Indiana gardener. He was a number of years perfecting it and says, "It is far ahead of all other wilt-resistant sorts. The Pennsylvania State Experiment Station states it is '100 percent wilt-resistant.' "
After watching the development of this variety for several years, we pronounce it one of the finest strains of wilt-resistant red Tomatoes. It is sure to come into favor with the most critical under-glass growers for early market. We do not hesitate to recommend liberal plantings, especi ally where a red Tomato is preferred and where wilt is prevalent. For this reason it is being used in place of Bonny Best.
