◆19世紀にアメリカで最大のトマト品種のブリーダーであったAlexander W. Livingston アレクサンダー・リビングストンによって慎重に選抜された品種。1901年のカタログでに初めて紹介され、6品種の購入者からそれぞれ賞金$10で名前を募って翌1902年のカタログで新たな名称で掲載された。
