We introduce this season an entirely new feature in our seed department. We offer to purchasers from this catalogue, without charge^ one of the most distinct and valuable novelties of the season, the New Tomato, "Table Queen."
The "TABLE QUEEN" will not under any circumstances be sold this season.
This excellent variety first came under our notice in our trial grounds two years ago. In a test of over eighty samples, it stood out as a remarkably prolific kind ; in fact, the earliest heavy cropping variety on the ground. It came into bearing the second week in August. It grows in clusters of from four to six, and a large proportion of the individual fruits weighed from 12 to 16 oz. It is the largest and heaviest smooth Tomato ever offered, being as large as the Mikado (introduced by us) but perfectly smooth and round. For slicing it is the Tomato " par excellence," as it is wonderfully solid, and contains fewer seeds than any other known variety. The " Table Queen " is of a dark rich shade of crimson, is very productive, and will prove the most satisfactory Tomato for private gardens that has been sent out in many years. (See cut.)
